Trinity's Mission Statement includes a challenge for our church community to partner with others so that we may serve God not only in Barrie but beyond.
The Partnering and Reaching-Out Committee has been given the responsibility to translate these words into action. We believe that the church that lives to itself dies to itself.
At the 2006 Vestry Meeting a motion was presented and passed to set aside 3% of all regular giving would fund financial support for Outreach Work.
The Outreach Committee meets monthly and reports are given on these ministries being supported financially and personally by Trinity folk. The
Meals on Wheels Program is served on a once a month basis. The
Primate's World Relief Fund work is supported and reported to the congregation in Church and the weekly Newsletter "Trinity Happenings”
Parishioners and Funds support the David Busby Centre which is founded and located in Trinity.
Retirement Homes and Long Term Senior Residences
have services monthly or occasionally led by parishioners and clergy.
To date financial support from the 3% Mission Fund has also been sent to Anglican Renewal Ministries, Barrie's Youth Haven, and Wycliffe College.
Faith Works of the Diocese of Toronto receives funding from specific donations made to his undertaking.
A retired parishioner Howard Walker who is a missionary in Panama receives specifically marked gifts for the project
Fundacion Uaguitupu.
